Ok, how does one send out something to be ironed on a cruise ship? Do all ships offer this?
We're sailing on Enchantment of the Seas (Royal Caribbean). Does this ship offer this service?

Thanks for the response and price list.
So, can we have the wrinkled stuff sent out the day we board the ship and get it back the next day? Or do we have to wait until the first morning to send it out?

if i'm correct, as soon as your cabin steward comes on duty (just after muster drill) you can send it out.

Yes, we do this all the time. I never iron hubby's shirts before we leave, the ship does a much better job!

Haven't done it yet with Royal Caribbean, but did have our laundry done on Princess. They did a great job too!!!

i remember carnival sent a bag and it was all that could fit for $15 but last month on RCCL the bag was $20 and was only t-shirts, shorts, bathing suits, underwear. no jackets, pants, dresses. you had to pay full laundry or pressing prices for them. and the first bag was only about 2 days into sailing so we didn't have much to put in it.

If you can get away with just steaming the clothing to get the wrinkles out, there are very inexpensive portable steamers that you can bring with you or you can hang the clothes in the bathroom and let the shower steam up the bathroom a bit. Works well to de-wrinkle packed clothes and only takes a couple of minutes. You can be taking a shower at the same time and no water is wasted.

Mindy, I'm pretty sure the portable steamers are "illegal" on ships now... RCCL anyway...

Very possible- haven't brought a steamer on a ship in many years, although I do bring a hair dryer which they don't like either.

The steaming of clothes while showering has worked well enough for me not to have to send out laundry to be pressed. I also have learned the art of rolling clothes when I pack and that has helped enormously.

Thats what my husband does.........doesnt bother ironing his clothes beforehand.......the very first day we get on,he sends out his stuff and it is back in time (by5pm) for formal night(which is the 2nd night)

I appreciate all of the information.

I am assuming that this also applies to Carnival, right?
We just switched our booking from Royal Caribbean's Enchantment to Carnival's Liberty. Does Carnival charge the same?
