We plan to arrive on the 18th... too early to book anything, but that's the plan!

Snow in Chicago is too risky at that time of year. I wanted another weather-cush day!

I'm risking the Chicago weather on the 19th. Though after my cruise with my sisters last January you would think I'd learn. I'm pretty sure the only reason we made it out of O'Hare was that it was the pilot's retirement flight. I will say the landing in Miami was pretty cool with the fire trucks saluting the pilot.

Susan, where are you at in Illinois? I'm in Morton Grove.

We really are almost in Wisconsin... and may even fly out of Milwaukee, but ORD is more convenient if I leave from work.

One of my brother in laws lives on the river in McHenry, I think that's where we'll be on Christmas day this year.

I have no clue, what we are doing! LOL! Would like to try and fly in a couple of days early, as I am worried about flight delays during the winter and holidays.
But just not sure if we will have enough vacation time saved up by then.

The reason I'm asking is perhaps we can make plans for those coming in on the 18th or earlier. Just a thought, many of you might want time in the city on your own and that's fine. I can pal around with Marina, Christina and Nick & Leanna since all have extended open invitations but, I thought it might be nice way to help start breaking the ice.

I think there will be plenty of ice broken during this cruise! It's a lovely thought to start the party early, but I'm going to hold off commiting to any plans until we know what our flights are. I also have a bum hip which slows me down and I don't want to hold anyone back from a good time! Once we have flights and some plans start coming together, I'd like to chat about it again though.

I'm in Jersey, almost a stones throw from Down the Shore Guy.

And like him, I'm thinking of coming in a day early as well.
It sure beats trudging thru whatever Mother Nature slings at us on sailing day.

Why take chances, ya know?

So if anyone is planning on getting together those couple nights before sailing, count me in.
It'll be great having a meal and a few brews with ya'll! Smile
