You probably all know that New York was New Amsterdam until the English conquered it and changed the name to New York.

Well, in 1673 the Dutch recaptured New York from the English for a brief period of time and changed the name again, but did NOT change it back to New Amsterdam. What was New York named from 1673 to 1674?

This locale was featured in "An Affair to Remember" and "Sleepless in Seattle", and one of its ghosts is that of a woman whose lover said he'd meet her there on V-J Day...and never did. What is this romantic, haunted New York place?

Until it was destroyed on September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center (which i worked in but not on that day - thank God) occupied how many square blocks in lower Manhattan?

Would you stop! No you aren't too old to participate in anything. Laughing

So to answer your question about WTC, I got two different answers...so let's go with 16.

Ok Pete, I was guessing the answer to the last question posted, and which I don't have any idea what is the correct answer. The answer to Ginny's question I believe is 3, the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge. If she had gone beyond Manhatten, Staten Island also has three other ways to get to New Jersey. Have a greatevening,
