| I got to the polls at about 7:50 and was out by 8:10 even though there were about a 100 people in line. The poll workers knew what they were doing, and the voters knew who they were voting for. The line just kept moving.

| the election was destined to be historical no matter which way it went ... I about overdosed on politics this year (my degree is in political science, and get my "fix" every 4 years).

Family trumped career (took a job that paid well and had to forego lower paying jobs that meant relocating from CA to DC).  I finally gave up the much hated well paying job in CA when hubby's job moved us to TN allowing me to focus 100% on a career in travel. 
So, not the career that I planned, but a satisfying one at least.
And since I can't seem to work in DC, I try to visit every few years to overcome the "homesickness"
