I have talked to industry people in the know and they are very interested in port calls in Cuba. With the views of the new administration, I think that Cuba will be open to tourism by 2011, and it won't be very long before the cruise ships call in Havana.

When - notice I said "when" - Cuba finally opens up to US residents, you can bet I'll be one of the first ones there! Would I book a cruise that included Cuba/Havana? Absolutely!

Ditto - I have heard such good things about Havana from my mom's friend who lived there. No doubt it has changed (haven't we all) since then but love to see it on an itinerary! Count me in!

you know i think cuba would be great to stop at. when we go to the caribbean doesn't it seem like you're never going to get past cuba? it seems like such a long island. of course, i can be an idiot - maybe it really is and i just don't know it. i'll have to go google it. so it be a perfect break in the trip to stop there.
