Pat, if you want to get a reputation, and be nice to Ron, push his + on his posts. I'm sure he'll treat you like his sister! Kelcie

I am right next to Fort Hamilton Army Base and have a great shot at the harbor and VZ Bridge. I have the best view year round of the incoming and outgoings of the Cruise Ships out of Redhook, Cape Liberty and Manhattan. I especially enjoy Saturday & Sundays in the summer with an average of 4-5 ships departing together in a parade fashion. Sorry, for going off the original subject of the topic. _________________ [b:][u:][i:]Luv Cruising[/i:][/u:], BklynBoy (Ed)

Pat, I was thinking that being nice to the boss might earn get you a few rep. points, being nice is just in your personality. Now back to the thread. Tony, have you looked at the pictures, of the seats that show where to sit to get the best view? I think that's why people go early, is just to get their favorite seat in the section. It's a great idea to have on a cruise ship. Kelcie

I never had any problem obtaining tickets for the planetarium shows. They were just sitting out in a box at the Connections desk. I am not keen on standing in line so I just dropped by the desk an hour or so after the tickets became available and never had a problem getting them. I imagine, however, that availablity would change from sailing to sailing- depending on the interests of the passengers sailing each voyage. I saw a couple shows and they were amazing- don't miss it!

On our cruise last year, there were 3 different shows. |

I found this description of the planetarium shows online. My favorite was Passport to the Universe. Cosmic Collisions - Narrated by Robert Redford, it launches passengers on a spine-tingling trip through space and time to explore the cosmic collisions and hypersonic impacts that drive the dynamic and continuing evolution of the universe. Passport to the Universe - Narrated by Tom Hanks, this awe-inspiring show reveals the wonders of the universe in a way never seen before. This Hayden Planetarium show takes passengers on an exhilarating flight though the universe and into the Orion Nebula, deep into intergalactic space. The Search for Life: Are We Alone? - Narrated by Harrison Ford, this space show, developed by the AMNH in collaboration with NASA, delves into the role of water as one of the necessities for life as we know it.
