This is a spill over thread from the announcement of the new QE in 2010. Who is interested in forming a CF group for the inaugural sailing? (Come on Murray, step right up!)

I will try and at least track down what month they are thinking as soon as possible. Just for fun, which month would everyone prefer? Only because I am a hopeless romantic and have a thing for traditions, I would love to see her take her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on March 3rd, 2010 (to early I know) it would be 70 years to the day since the first QE did the same run on her maiden voyage.

Hate to burst that bubble Nina but, after reading the press release the new QE won't be out until Autumn of 2010 but, I like your idea of March, if they had planned better it would have made for a great celebration!

That aside - yes I'm interested!! My guess is that they might hold it off until the Holidays like they are doing for QV. Only time will tell though...

Nonetheless, I will be retiring in the summer of 2010 so I'm free to go when-ever and where-ever...I'm in!!

Scheduling might be problem, until we know the dates, I can't make any solid commitments. Sounds wonderful though!

Interested but, dates play a heavy factor, Fall can be a tough time to get off work.

Somewhat interested, I'm waiting to see pricing, I hate paying as much for the airfare as I do for the cruise, but, this might be one of the few times I'd be willing to overlook that factor. I'm certain this will have a lot of fanfare around it and that would outweigh the cost. Will keep checking back since this one is a while off.

Just double checking, Cunard is still 25% deposit, correct?
