PostSubject: Hello!   Sun Aug 10, 2008 5:25 pm

Hi, I'm Peter. I was referred to this site by Pam (Pam M on here) - we met on Queen Victoria on the Russian Rendezvous sailing in July and my wife and I had a fabulous time with her and her husband. I understand you have a rather active Cunard board that isn't stuffy and it sounds like you have some cruises right up our alley.

We've sailed all three current Cunard ships: QE2, QM2 and QV. We also sailed upon Caronia when she was still part of Cunard. Each ship is unique. Each ship has it's own personality and, it's my personal feeling that everyone has their own favorite for a number of reasons.

I'm more than happy to make recommendations regarding cabins, we've booked passage in nearly every cabin category, including the highest of the high end including Grand Suites on QE2 and Balmoral Suite on QM2 for World Cruise segments. However, we've also sailed in Inside Cabins during various voyages.

I'm a young 61 years old. I'm a retired physician from Fairfield, CT. My wonderful wife of 39 years was a nurse before becoming a stay at home Mom to raise our two children who now have families of their own. We enjoy traveling, ballroom dancing, good conversation and meeting new people.

I look forward to actively contributing to this board in any way I can and, I look forward to getting to know my fellow board mates who share my passion for cruising.

Hello,

I agree completely with your conclusion that all three of the current Cunard ships are unique. Each is good and as you say which one a person likes best is a matter of personal taste. One thing that impressed me about Queen Victoria, however, is that they have managed to capture the Cunard atmosphere even though the ship is much different than the others.
